Caprylyl glycol is a multifunctional ingredient that acts as a preservative booster, humectant, and skin conditioning agent. It enhances the efficacy of other preservatives and has antimicrobial activity against bacteria and fungi. Also improves skin feel and provides mild moisturisation. Commonly used in combination with phenoxyethanol or ethylhexylglycerin.
