Ceramide EOP

Ceramide EOP

Also known as: Ceramide 1

Ceramide EOP (ceramide 1) is unique among ceramides for its role in forming the cornified lipid envelope, a critical structural component of the skin barrier. It is the ceramide most directly involved in maintaining the integrity of the outermost skin layer. Particularly important in atopic dermatitis where ceramide EOP levels are significantly reduced.
