Also known as: GHK-Cu, Copper Tripeptide-1, Blue Copper Peptide
GHK-Cu (glycyl-L-histidyl-L-lysine copper) is a naturally occurring copper complex that promotes wound healing, stimulates collagen and elastin synthesis, and has antioxidant properties. It is one of the most studied cosmetic peptides with a broad evidence base. It also has anti-inflammatory effects and may help with hair growth. Cannot be combined with vitamin C or AHAs as it destabilises.
Comedogenicity ratings are based on the rabbit ear assay model. Individual skin responses vary. See our article on comedogenicity ratings for context.
