Ethylhexylglycerin is a glycerin-derived preservative booster that enhances the efficacy of other preservatives by disrupting bacterial cell membranes. It also functions as a skin conditioning agent. Commonly paired with phenoxyethanol to create a broad-spectrum preservation system. Has a good safety profile and is well-tolerated by most skin types.
