Glutathione

Also known as: GSH, Reduced Glutathione, L-Glutathione

Glutathione is the body's master antioxidant, a tripeptide of glutamine, cysteine, and glycine. In skincare it inhibits tyrosinase and shifts melanin production from eumelanin (dark) to phaeomelanin (lighter), providing brightening effects. Topical bioavailability is debated, with liposomal or reduced forms showing better penetration. Growing evidence for skin brightening applications.
