Malic Acid

Also known as: Apple Acid, Hydroxybutanedioic Acid

Malic acid is an AHA found naturally in apples and other fruits. It is gentler than glycolic or lactic acid and is often used in combination AHA formulations to enhance efficacy. It also functions as a pH adjuster and has mild chelating properties. Suitable for sensitive skin when used at lower concentrations.
