Paraffinum Liquidum

Also known as: Paraffin Oil, White Mineral Oil, Liquid Paraffin

Mineral oil is a highly refined petroleum-derived oil that is one of the most well-researched cosmetic ingredients. At cosmetic grade, it is non-comedogenic, hypoallergenic, and highly effective as an occlusive and emollient. Despite persistent myths, cosmetic-grade mineral oil does not clog pores or cause acne. It is used extensively in baby products and dermatological preparations.
