Tartaric Acid

Also known as: Grape Acid, 2,3-Dihydroxybutanedioic Acid

Tartaric acid is an AHA found in grapes and wine. It is a gentler exfoliant than glycolic acid and also has antioxidant properties. Often used in wine-based or grape-derived skincare formulations. Functions as a pH adjuster and helps stabilise other AHAs in multi-acid formulations.
