Zinc Oxide

Zinc Oxide

Also known as: ZnO, Mineral Sunscreen

Zinc oxide is a mineral UV filter that provides broad-spectrum UVA and UVB protection through physical reflection and absorption. It is photostable, non-irritating, and safe for sensitive skin and children. At higher concentrations it can leave a white cast, though micronised and nano-zinc formulations reduce this. Considered the gold standard mineral sunscreen ingredient.
